At 14 years-old Elizabeth Smart became the center of  a national media storm after she was kidnapped at knife point and held captive for nine months.

Ten years later, Smart is back in the news but for a considerably happier reason. The 24 year-old tied the knot to her fiance, Matthew Gilmour in The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints on the island of Oahu.

Smart and Gilmour met in Paris while Smart was on a Mormon mission.

Congratulations to the pair! It’s good to see Smart’s living a happy and normal life after everything she went through.
