Oren Peli, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are back with their latest installment to the found footage horror film series. While Paranormal Activity 3 was a prequel set in 1988, it appears this latest chapter in the chilling saga skips forward in time to the year 2011. After setting records with the first three films, Peli and co. are stating this fourth installment will in fact be the final chapter in the series. And while there does appear to be a finite tone looming in the teaser trailer, horror fans would do wise to recall similar claims being made about another popular horror franchise…one involving certain individuals who liked “playing games” with their victims.
I suppose only time will tell on that one. But in the mean time:
